Six years as a newspaper reporter, researching, writing and editing stories about local government and higher education. Four years in communications at the state teachers’ union, helping to craft messages about public education for voters and legislators. Three years working in marketing and web technology for the Wisconsin Office of Justice Assistance, a state grant agency.
Fifteen years working on the web in a host of different capacities, mostly as an independent business owner. Focused on bringing together writing, information architecture, graphics and databases to solve client problems – designing and implementing projects from the ground up.
